DESCRIPTION

This artifact passed through many hands before becoming part of the Collection. Originally constructed by a Whiphid Jedi, this lightsaber was taken by General Grievous as part of his debut to the galaxy during the Battle of Hypori. Grievous continued to use it through the Clone Wars, but it was left behind with a number of his trophies when he evacuated the Invisible Hand during the Battle of Coruscant. It very nearly returned to it's creator with the end of the war, but Order 66 prevented his return to Coruscant and the lightsaber joined the Emperor's private collection in the sealed wing of the Imperial Museum. After the Rebellion took Coruscant, the lightsaber was one of many artifacts that Luke Skywalker studied, though it was liberated from the Jedi by agents of the Acolytes of the Beyond who surrendered many artifacts to become part of the Eeshaypher Collection.
